Dory is an alum of the Newton County School System who is excited to be serving as a board member for the Newton Education Foundation. An eager public servant, Dory’s passion for education has been a constant throughout her life and she hopes to be able to give back to the community through providing resources to students in the school system. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering with nonprofit organizations such as the Fox Theatre and DanceATL. Dory is a graduate of Agnes Scott College (B.A.) and the University of Georgia (MPA), and currently serves as a fiscal policy analyst in the education division with the Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget.
