The Newton Education Foundation is proud to announce the addition of nine new members to its Board of Directors for 2026. This cohort brings together accomplished professionals with deep roots in Newton County and a shared commitment to ensuring every child has the resources they need to thrive.
“This board reflects the incredible talent and dedication that exists in Newton County” said Gail Rothman, NEF Executive Director. “Each of these individuals brings something unique, and together they will help us expand our reach and deepen our impact for Newton County students and teachers.”
The 2026 board cohort includes:
Jeff Herold, founder of Warrior Leadership LLC and retired U.S. Army and Air Force Reserve leader with more than 30 years of public service
Bryant Johnson, Managing Partner of Willow Oak Capital and Newton County Schools alumnus with an M.B.A. from MIT Sloan School of Management
Helen Johnson, owner of Johnson Financial Services Group and nonprofit professional with more than 18 years of experience connecting families to resources
Dr. Quinita Morrow, 2026 Newton County District Teacher of the Year and marketing educator at Alcovy High School
Catrice Perkins, Commercial Underwriter at State Farm, Newton County native, and Leadership Newton Class of 2024 graduate
Zayvion Sheppard, Manager of Local and Community Affairs at Georgia State University and founder of For Atlanta By Atlanta, a nonprofit fighting poverty through grassroots investment
Sally Anne Short, retired educator and Water Conservation Manager for the Newton County Water and Sewerage Authority
Monika Singh, Downtown Director for the City of Porterdale with a background in finance and community development
Stephanie Young, 2026 President of the Newton County Bar Association and owner of Stephanie Young Law, LLC
