Heroes walk among us every day at all Newton County schools and the district office.  These Heroes are often behind the scenes doing work that is critical to our school system.  This year, Newton County Schools hosted its first HERO Award Night and Celebration and we were so honored to sponsor it.

Executive Director Gail Rothman shared words of gratitude on behalf of the community and announced that each HERO would receive a check for $200.  When Chandra Mitchell was announced as the District HERO of the Year, Gail presented her with a check for $1,000.
