Newton Education Foundation will award four $3,000 Aspiraciones Más Grandes scholarships to graduating NCS seniors who meet the criteria listed below, regardless of citizenship status.

Applications must be submitted by Friday, April 3, 2026 at 5pm to be considered for the scholarship awards.

Student requirements to apply:

  • Must be of Hispanic/Latino heritage
  • Must be a graduating senior from a Newton County School System high school
  • Must be accepted to a college or technical school for the 2026-27 school year
  • Must complete two essays, each with a minimum of 250 words.
  • Must meet a minimum 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA requirement.

Preference will be given to first generation college students, but that is not a requirement.
(A first-generation college student is defined as someone whose parents or legal guardians did not complete a college or technical school degree. These students are often one of the first in their immediate family to navigate the college process, from applications and financial aid to enrolling in higher education.)
