Let’s Get Veggie Ready! is a first-of-its-kind USDA Farm to School Grant program (Fall 2024 – Spring 2026) that brought hands-on food education to Pre-K and Kindergarten students across Newton County. Led by Small Bites Adventure Club in partnership with Love is Love Cooperative Farm, the Newton Education Foundation, and Newton County Schools Nutrition, the program reached 1,058 students across 55 classrooms — giving young learners the knowledge, confidence, and joy of exploring fresh vegetables through monthly cooking lessons and farm field trips.
