Asher is an alum of the Newton County School System, is married to a NCSS educator, and has two children who attend NCSS. As the former Vice President of Economic Development for the Newton Industrial Development Authority, Asher served as the leader for workforce development strategies and managed efforts to connect public and private partners for strategic growth in Newton County. He strongly believes that positive growth in our community relies on the collective relationships between the public schools, families, businesses and institutions of Newton County. Asher currently serves as the E-Mobility Engagement Lead with the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia.
